RUGGED RENEWAL ON THE AT

This Rugged Renewal is truly something special… a coming home to the Appalachian mountains. The green tunnels of these old mountains make for a sense of mystery and feminine power, ideal for evolving the rhythms in our lives.

Whether you are an avid backpacker looking for community, or a newbie who wants to gain skills for future trips, everyone will be guided into deeper relationship with their inner wise self. We will carve new paths of attunement and mindfulness within just as we externally navigate the ups and downs of this legendary Trail.

An example itinerary with all the details on the trail, gear, and accommodations from our guide company, Blue Ridge Hiking Company, are at the link below!

Optional Accommodations

Blue Ridge Hiking Company has a sweet Trail-er with bunk rooms and hot showers in Hot Springs, NC. Depending on the section of trail chosen, we will have the option to stay there on the first and final nights of the adventure, to ease the transition to trail time, dinner and breakfast will be provided.

*Details below are a general outline and will depend on weather, as well as the group.

Day 1: Arrive to the Trail-er in Hot Springs by 5pm

A welcome meal and opening circle will help us transition away from the worries of our daily lives and into the here and now of shared time in nature.

Day 2-5: Backpacking

These four days will be a blend of hiking (lots of hiking!) as well as opportunities for mindfulness, understanding of the nervous system and our animal-body stress response, reflection and opportunities to identify what makes life so different on the trail and how me may take elements of the experience home with us.

Day 6: Closing and goodbyes

After a particularly yummy Ayurvedic breakfast, we will reflect on our take-aways from the weekend, say our goodbyes, and begin our journeys back home in time to regroup before the week begins. You can be on the road by 9am or opt to hit up the local commercial hot springs for a soak.
